DeBrand Fine Chocolates is seeking an organized, dependable Accounting Associate to support our accounting and administrative operations.
Applicants should be accurate, organized, comfortable working with numbers and technology, and able to handle confidential information appropriately. Previous accounting, bookkeeping, or office experience is preferred.
Both part-time and full-time candidates will be considered. The position would include accounting responsibilities along with additional administrative and operational support in other areas of DeBrand including customer service.
Job duties can include but are not limited to:
- Accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Entering and reviewing accounting transactions
- Processing invoices, payments, and customer receipts
- Assisting with bank and account reconciliations
- Maintaining accurate vendor and customer records
- Assisting with inventory records and inventory-related accounting
- Working with DeBrand's ERP and point-of-sale systems
- Gathering documentation and resolving transaction discrepancies
- Assisting with payroll and selected human-resources administration
- Supporting the Accounting Manager and outside accounting firm
- Performing related office and administrative responsibilities
Qualifications would include but are not limited to:
- Experience with Microsoft Excel is required.
- Knowledge of advanced Excel functions, including VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, Macros, and other spreadsheet tools.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when reviewing accounting transactions and maintaining records.
- Ability to learn and work effectively with ERP and point-of-sale systems.
- Ability to organize documentation and resolve transaction discrepancies efficiently.
- Strong organizational, communication, and administrative skills.
